The command line object implements a comman line interface through the message comamnd interface.The message command API implements functions to send and receive command messages to and form a diagnostics kernel, respectively. A message consists of a name, a parameter string and a reply string. The diagnostics kernel can be invoked locally, or on a remote machin through remote procedure calls. This API is used to both implement a command line interface and a GUI.
