Fantom 5/04/01
The Frame and NDS Translation Module (Fantom) is a frame multiplexer which can be used to split, merge and reformat frames. Fantom supports input from a local file system, from a DMT shared memory partition, from a tape drive, from an NDS server or from the archive server (LARS). It supports output to a local file system, to a DMT shared memory partition and to a tape drive.

Lidax 5/04/01
The LIGO Data Access (Lidax) is a graphical user interface to access frame data from local resources, from the archive and form the online system at the Observatory sites. It fully integrates Fantom and its capability to access multiple frame streams simultanously as well as the capability to reformat frames. The most common usage modes of Lidax are:
  • to load frame data to a local disk for further processing, and
  • to load frames into one or multiple DMT monitor processes.

A quick start manual is available from here.

    Installation
Get the source code distribution and follow the README file.
The code was tested under Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 2.7 using the SUN sparcworks 5.0 compilers and the GNU gcc 2.95.X compilers.
This library requires the gzip compression library and the readline library as well as the algorithm library, the calibration library and the LIGO GUI Extension to the ROOT environment.
