Teacher Internships at LIGO Hanford Observatory

LIGO hosts teacher summer internships at each Observatory through the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Teachers (RET) program. The six-week RET internships allow teachers to engage in LIGO-related research in collaboration with LIGO staff members. Participants also plan for the classroom implementation of a portion of their summer learning. Teachers from any level in the K-12 system are eligible to apply. Stipends are based on a teacher's currrent salary. For more information or for an application to the LHO RET program, send an email to LIGO outreach. The deadline for summer 2008 RET applications is March 21, 2008.
