Research Experiences for Students

LIGO provides summer research internships for college students through Caltech's SURF program. Undergraduates who wish to apply for a 2008 SURF internship must do so by February 22. Opportunities for high school students usually arise through a relationship between LIGO and a specific school and science teacher. Please email LIGO Hanford Observatory or call our outreach coordinator at 509-372-8248 if you are interested in either a high school or college research experience and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities.
