Treaty Seven refers to a treaty signed by the five Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy and the Queen of England in 1877. The Treaty Seven Tribes continue to work together on a variety of endeavors, one of which is the annual Education Conference. The Siksika Board of Education invited Corey, a member of the Siksika Nation, to speak about his educational experiences and his activities in LIGO. Conference attendees included teachers and others who work in the education systems of the Treaty Seven Tribes. "It was a learning experience," commented Corey after returning. "Quite a few participants attended my talk and a number of them spoke to me afterwards. Several teachers and a principal approached me about giving presentations to their students in the future. I enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the conference."
