About

General

The launch pad is a collection of (hopefully) useful links to information on the web. All of the links should be valid and useful in some way.

Special

There are some special items on the list.

Webicorders

One of the first things that I did was to automatically generate a link that goes directly to the current webicorder page. If it goes to an older one, simply refresh your (stale) copy of the launch pad to get the current link. This saves clicks and time when trying to get earthquake verification.

Additionally, I've added more webicorder links. RSW is Rattlesnake mountain, ASR is near Mount Adams, and HSR is on Mount Saint Helens. These last two were added to help identify Mt. St. Helens earthquakes which do not always appear on the pacific northwest earthquake locator page.

Fading

New items are announced with a fading yellow background. Items about to be removed are announced with a fading black background.

Hover color

When some links are moused over they will have a very loud color- a red dashed overline, red link color, blue background for instance. This is to indicate that these links go to a restricted area, and you may not be able to view them from offsite.
