Dear Colleagues, A preliminary program for the detector investigation camp at LIGO Hanford Observatory August 20-22 (following the LSC meeting) is posted at http://tenaya.physics.lsa.umich.edu/~keithr/detcamp04/ There will be more than 20 presentations on various software tools useful in investigating detector artifacts, with ample hands-on study time. We want participants to become familiar with, not merely aware of, the tools available to them. Participants should read over the "Logistics" part of the detcamp04 web page to make sure they come well prepared to benefit from the camp. If you plan to attend the camp and have not yet registered at the LSC meeting site http ( http://www.ligo.org/conferences/lsc0804/ ), PLEASE DO SO NO LATER THAN MONDAY AUGUST 9. We need an accurate count of participants to understand computing infrastructure needs. Also, I will be sending out additional pre-camp logistical information next week only to registered participants. A list of the 30 registered participants as of August 3 is posted on the camp web page. thanks, Keith
