The EventTool (authors Masahiro Ito & Daniel Sigg ) is part of the GDS tree
It consists of a set of event classes, to be used from the ROOT prompt, in standalone analysis codes or in DMT monitors in order to:

read xml trigger files (eg. retrieved from the DataBase through GetMeta or Guild)
compute statistics of lock segments
perform coincidences, vetoes, cluster analysis
apply selection cuts, produce and fit histogram with the full analysis power of ROOT
manipulate graphical output
